Well, it's been a while since I posted anything! The wedding was in October.......aside from the usual family blow-ups, everything went quite well........the kid's went on a honeymoon to Branson, saw some shows and did a little shopping. Emilee stayed with me! I think she wondered why mommy didn't come get her, but we kept her pretty busy anyway!
Thanksgiving and Christmas went quite well also.......I finally got to spend a little more time at home instead of having to go to the parent's house. Now that Katie is married, I would like to have them come see us, instead of ALWAYS having to go to grandma's house. I mean, you know it's not like we don't ever see them.......they live less than 5 miles from our house........and, it does get harder as the kids get bigger and have their own lives to manage much less trying to fit in every person that thinks they ought to stop by all the time to see them. I know my dad won't be around forever, but I really don't think he wants me at his house every day either!
The ice storms we had were quite fun during the Christmas season........we bounced back and forth between our house and Kate's apartment.......and Ron went to stay at his mother's...........while me and Ronda stayed with Emilee!! I came home a couple times every day to see if the power was on.........and then, I'd know where I had to go stay. Went out to eat probably more than we normally would have, but when you can't cook and you can't get warm...........what else is there to do?! Really makes you think about those out in the world that live that way all the time............makes you really thankful for what you have.
Also, unfortunately, spring also brings tornado weather. We have already had a bad one touch down from Picher, OK to Neosho, MO. 14 people died in the storms........many people were injured, and many, many people lost their homes, cars, everything. Hopefully, no more tornados will come this year........!
In the mean time, if anyone in the area is looking for a new kitten..........my darling girls (cats) have 9 between them! They are actually my daughter's cats, not mine! 6 were born on April 30th, the other 3 were born May 16th.....so they are still little!
It's a beautiful day outside today and here I sit at the computer! OH, well! Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day out there............and remember ........God is Good all the time and All the time God is good!
